Excitement is building!

We are  in the great build up for our next camping trip!  That means that I have started my daily updates to key people of haw many days we have left before we leave.  I have made some trips into the camper to "stock" it.  I have put up some tap lights to get ready for some old fashioned reading in bed.  All involved are ready to go!  Now we just have to get there (time wise, that is).

We are, in case you didn't know, going back to Florida. Same place as for the anniversary trip, but this time we will have some company. Ryan will be joining us at he resort! Yay, uncle Ryan! We will try to post lots of pictures and I will get some posts going. I am truly ready now. I have my blogger app for the iPad.

We'll keep you posted!

After all of this I may switch to hourly updates!

Well, we stepped up our camping game!

Well, we stepped up our camping game!  We went down to Ormond Beach, Fl to do a little camping and celebrate our 7th anniversary.  If you saw the last post you are aware of that.  What you may not know is that while we were in the area, there was a camping rally (RV show) in Daytona.  Rhonda, Maddie & I thought it would be a good idea to go and look.  After all, we are Good Sam members and would get a discount for the show.  Also, it would just be fun!  So we took off to the show at the speedway and set out on our adventure.  As luck would have it, we happened into the Jayco display and onto a Jay Feather Ultralight camper.  Long story short, we loved it and talked of very little else (not really, but it seemed that way) for the next day or so.  We headed to Orlando for some fun on Tuesday and stopped by a dealership and the next thing we knew we had purchased an X213.  No, really!

Now, I have to tell you the frustration of buying a new camper and not actually staying in it is immense!  We picked it up on our way home and have tinkered with it here and there, but will not be able to get away until late December.  It is killing me (and Maddie).  I think Rhonda is stronger than we are.  Or maybe just more reasonable...  Okay, I said it!  Our first trip is scheduled and we will be building our excitement (and our itinerary) over the next few week.  We will keep you posted!

Hi there!  It has been a long time since I/We have posted, so I thought it might be a good idea to start again.  Well, here goes....

After packing up the family & heading south on I-95 a few hours, I find myself sitting in one of the best camp sites I have ever been in!  We are currently in space 11 @ the Coral Sands Inn & Resort in Ormond Beach, FL (just north of Daytona).  It has been amazing!
Forgive the graininess of the picture, but it was taken through the screen of our little popup to show EXACTLY the view we have.  Like I said, AMAZING!

We have had a great time with everybody having an adventure.  The surf is chilly, but Maddie & Mommy are still able to frolic in it. (Daddy is smart and waits for the heated pool)

This place has been great!  Friendly staff and neighbors.  Very quiet.  Nothing but wave sounds!  Some peaceful nights.

We have had some outstanding food!

We took Maddison on Monday for her visit to the ocean, she seemed a little excited and interested. She did not seem scared at all.

Michael let her touch the water, it was a little cold :)

I let her put her feet in the water, she curled her toes into the sand

This is the view of the Morris Island lighthouse from our back dock

Michael and I went out together when Grandmommy and Granddadddy were watching Maddison

She did not seem to be scared at all, wanted to touch it, not sure that she liked the sand in between her toes

We arrived at Folly Beach on Saturday late afternoon and it was in the 80's and appeared to be almost summer. It was hot as we unloaded the car. Yesterday, Sunday, we spent the day going to church, watching football and waiting on Michael's parents to arrive. We visited the Folly Beach Pier. Also, Michael and Maddison had to wear their Miami gear to watch football!

It snowed last night, Sunday night, 3/1/09, and the picture below was actually taken at night. The reflection and the light from the sky gave an eerie color

Here we are the morning after the snow, it was gorgeous snow, the best yet this year

We took a few pictures, and always the camera shot :)

Here is the house with snow! Even in March, we can still get snow.
